Cookies
The site sets a sign-in cookie, to keep you signed in. Our hosting provider's network may also set a short-lived security cookie to filter out bots. Neither is used for advertising or tracking.

The sign-in cookie is set only when you sign in or create an account. It holds a random token, not your email address. Your browser sends it only to this site, and the page's scripts cannot read it.
Both are needed for the site to work and stay safe, so the site does not ask for permission to set them. There are no cookies for analytics or advertising, and no tracking scripts.
What else is kept in your browser
While you use the app, the tab keeps a few notes in its session storage, such as drafts of answers you type or dictate. The browser deletes them when you close the tab. Privacy lists them.
If you dictate, your browser may also keep speech files of its own. They belong to the browser, not to this site.
Turning cookies off
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Without the sign-in cookie you cannot stay signed in, so the app will not work, but the public pages will.
