Payments are in test mode while the site is being set up. No real card can be charged yet.

What you get

• Lessons that check you learned it. Ideas are taught one at a time and checked in your own words, then a final check covers them all.
• Reviews that help you keep it. Each idea comes back on your Today page before you're likely to forget it.
• Room for a new lesson every week. Five average lessons use under a third of a month's allowance, leaving the rest for reviews.

A lesson is one topic you choose, taught from your starting point to the final check. It usually covers 4 to 7 small ideas, each taught in a few minutes and checked with one question.

Each plan includes an allowance of tutoring, counted in lessons. The counts are for an average lesson. A long or difficult lesson uses more, and one where you test out of most ideas uses less.

Try it before you pay

• Your free trial starts when you confirm your email address. It needs no card.
• It never turns into a paid plan on its own. When it ends, it simply ends.
• You get one trial for each email address.
• The demo lesson is free as well, and works before you confirm your address.
• The sample lesson walks through the demo step by step, with no account needed.

Only the charges you choose

You are never charged for using more than you bought. The only charges are the monthly plan, if you choose it, and any top-up you choose to buy. Stripe handles payments, so this site never sees your card number.

Cancel any time

Cancel from Plan & usage in your account menu. It takes you to Stripe's page, where you confirm. Your plan stays until the end of the month you paid for, and nothing more is charged.

Refunds

Ask within 14 days of a payment, with at least three quarters of its allowance unused, and we refund the whole payment. A charge made by mistake is always refunded. To ask, email help@thoughtpantheon.com. The terms set this out in full.

The monthly plan

• $19 a month, in US dollars, renewed each month until you cancel.
• Each month you pay for brings a fresh allowance. It lasts until the end of that month, plus one day, so a renewal never cuts you off.
• Allowance you do not use does not roll over to the next month.
• Reviews marked by the tutor come out of the same allowance, but cost far less than lessons. A month's allowance would cover 599 reviews on its own.

Top-ups: never get stuck mid-topic

• Running low halfway through a topic? Add a top-up and keep going.
• A top-up is paid once, and lasts 365 days from the day you buy it.
• You can buy one with or without the monthly plan.
• The allowance that ends soonest is used first, so a top-up is normally used after your monthly allowance.

If your allowance runs out

Nothing you have learned is lost.

• Lessons with the tutor pause until your plan renews or you add a top-up. That includes a lesson you have already started.
• Everything you saved stays: your lessons, notes, topics and review schedule.
• Reviews carry on. You mark your own answers against the key points of a model answer, and the app records them.
• The demo lesson still works.
